White Funeral Home Jesup – Darlene Caroline Rachuy, 82 years old of Jesup, IA, died Friday, June 8, 2018, at Unity Point Health – Allen Hospital, Waterloo, IA following a recent illness. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. – Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at the American Lutheran Church, Jesup, IA, with burial at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Independence, IA. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Monday, June 11th at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA. Memorials may be directed to the family. Darlene was born November 6, 1935, in Jesup, IA, the daughter of Frederick August Rachuy and Clara Caroline (Ulm) Rachuy. She graduated from Jesup High School with the class of 1953. She was employed by Deere and Company in Waterloo as an office clerk for many years, retiring in 1990. She also was a volunteer in the office at American Lutheran Church for several years. Darlene is survived by nieces and nephews; Carolyn Walker of Jefferson City, MO, Verla Neuendorf of Logansport, IN, Bob (Hazle) Heth of Polson, MT, Daryl (Jan) Rachuy of Jesup, IA, Ron (Jan) Heth of Cedar Falls, IA, Pat (Larry) Balster of Cedar Rapids, IA, Rick (Sue) Heth of Elk Run Heights, IA, Pam (Richard) Trumbauer of Jesup, IA, Randy (Tina) Heth of Plattsmouth, NE, Kathy Rachuy of Jesup, IA; numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by, her parents; two sisters, Leola Rachuy and Ruby Heth; one brother, Allen Rachuy, one nephew, Larry Rachuy; two nephews in law, Donald Walker and Dean Neuendorf; one great nephew, Brad Rachuy; and one great niece in law, Myla Rachuy. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Eugene Waring for his help over the years; and to her care givers, Kyle Oline, Susan Oline, Pearl Oline, and Ethan Hunter. |
