White Funeral Home Raymond – Sandra Kay Schuety, 74 years old of rural Waterloo, IA, died Thursday, January 18, 2018, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, IA. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. – Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at the United Methodist Church, Raymond, with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo. A Celebration of Life for Sandra will continue at the Evansdale Amvets Post #30, 706 Colleen Avenue, Evansdale, IA, following the graveside services. Visitation will be from5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Monday, January 22nd at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA, and before services Tuesday at the church. Memorials may be directed to the family. Sandy was born July 29, 1943, in Independence, IA, the daughter of Jack DeMoss and Mary B. (Karsten) DeMoss. On December 16, 1961, she was united in marriage to Robert LaVerne Schuety at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Evansdale, IA. She worked as a Nurses Aid at St. Francis Hospital in Waterloo and had also worked as a cook at C & H Café in Evansdale. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Raymond and the Amvets Ladies Auxiliary in Evansdale. Sandy is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Robert L. Schuety; one son, Robert “BO” (Nicole) Schuety of Dunkerton; five grandchildren, Harley, Ezekiel, Elisha, Eyana and Shiloh; and also many loving relatives and friends. Her parents, two brothers, John DeMoss (in infancy) and Robert H. DeMoss; and many loving relatives and friends, preceded her in death. |
