Jesup – Louis Kaiser, 86 of Jesup, IA, died Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at ABCM Rehabilitation Centers - West Campus in Independence, IA.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. - Saturday, January 20, 2018 at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Jesup, IA, with burial at St. Athanasius Cemetery, Jesup.  Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 19th at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA, where there will be a Parish Rosary at 5:00 p.m.  Visitation will continue for an hour before services Saturday at the church. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Louis was born November 25, 1931, in Russange, France, the son of Clara Steines. He arrived in the United States on January 4, 1951, and became a US Citizen in 1953.  On July 10, 1953, he was married to Joan M. Weimskirch in Clinton, IA.  They later divorced.  On August 5, 1989, he married Kathleen Kay Schares in Camanche, IA.  Louis worked at Archer Daniels Midland in Clinton, IA for 42 years, and then for 5 years was a school crossing guard for the Camanche School District.

Louis was a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church in Jesup.

Louis is survived by his wife, Kathleen "Kitty" Kaiser of Jesup, IA; one daughter, Sharon (Brian) Pawlik of Clinton, IA; one son, Van (Sandy) Kaiser of Prescott, IA; 3 grandchildren; 1 step grandson; 9 great grand children; and 1 great great grandchild.  He was preceded in death by his mother, step father, Vincent Steines and one infant son at birth.
