Jesup – Robert Joseph “Bobby” Reiter, Jr., 59 years old of rural Jesup, IA, died Saturday, January 13, at his home.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. – Friday, January 19, 2018, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Gilbertville, IA, with inurnment later at Sancta Maria Catholic Cemetery, Gilbertville.  Visitation will begin with a Parish Rosary at 4:00 p.m. and end with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m., Thursday at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA.  There will not be visitation before services Friday at the church.  Memorials may be directed to the family.

Robert was born October 11, 1958, in Waterloo, IA, the son of Robert Joseph Reiter, Sr. and Marlene Marilyn (Meier) Reiter.  He attended Don Bosco High School in Gilbertville.  On July 1, 1988, he was united in marriage to JoAnna Edith Minnihan in Clearwater, Florida.  He worked for a distributing company in Florida before returning to Iowa in 2008, and began working for WCI Railroad Repair Services as a supervisor.  He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Gilbertville.

Robert is survived by his wife, JoAnna Reiter of Jesup, IA; three daughters, Rachel (William) Larkins of Holiday, FL, Meagan (Ben) Thoma, of Jesup, IA, Makenzie Reiter of Iowa City, IA; two grandchildren, Aiden and Abigail Larkins and one granddaughter baby Thoma on the way; and his mother, Marlene Reiter, of Washburn, IA; two sisters, Joleen (John) Robb of La Porte City, IA, Angie (Bill) Van Wey of Elk Run Heights, IA; and one brother, Steve (Sue) Reiter of Waterloo, IA; a sister in law, Denise (Tom) Berns of Waterloo, IA, also several nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews & his mother in-law Mary Taylor Minnihan of New Port Richey, FL.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert J. Reiter, Sr., one brother, Randy Reiter, and his father in law, Joseph Minnihan.
