Independence– Marcella E. Payne Busch, 83 years old, of Independence, Iowa, died on Friday, October 20, 2017, at ABCM Rehab. Center of Independence – West Campus in Independence.  She was born on January 27, 1934, in Independence, the daughter of Harold Vern and Dorothy Margaret (Medaris) Lynn.  She graduated from high school in Winthrop, Iowa, with the Class of 1951.  On September 7, 1951, she and Donald Eugene Payne were married in Winthrop, Iowa.  He preceded her in death in 1978.  She and Mervin Busch were married on September 4, 1982, in Independence.  He preceded her in death in 2014.  Mrs. Busch was a member of the United Methodist Church in Janesville, Iowa, where she was a willing volunteer.  She liked to spend time camping and biking, dancing, bowling, and playing 500 with friends.

Mrs. Busch is survived by 2 daughters, Vickie (John) Schultz of Independence, Iowa, and Debra (Gary) Briggs of Ankeny, Iowa, 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 4 brothers, Kenneth (Barb) Lynn of Walker, Iowa, Roger (Ruth) Lynn of Independence, and Harlan (Mary) Lynn and Larry (Debra) Lynn, both of Winthrop, Iowa.  She is also survived by 3 step sons, Bob (Darlene) Busch of Branson, Missouri, Steve (Kelly) Busch of Denver, Iowa, and Richard (Mikki) Busch of Andover, Maryland, 9 step grandchildren, and many step great grandchildren.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents and 1 step son.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at the White Funeral Home in Independence, with Rev. Scott Meador officiating.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Winthrop.  Friends may call for visitation from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 24^th, at the funeral home.
