White Funeral Home Waterloo – Donald Joseph Weber, 78 years old of Waterloo, IA, and formerly of Dunkerton, IA, died Thursday, November 23, 2017, at Unity Point-Allen Memorial Hospital, Waterloo, IA. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. – Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at St. Francis Catholic Church – Barclay, rural Dunkerton, with inurnment in the church cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family. Donald was born August 14, 1939, in Waterloo, the son of Claude Arthur Weber and Marie Elizabeth (Meier) Weber. He graduated from Dunkerton High School with the class of 1957. He served in the US Army and was discharged from the Army Reserves in August 1965. On December 28, 1968, he was united in marriage to Kathaleen Ann Shafer in Minnesota. They later divorced. Donald worked in the maintenance department at Chamberlain Manufacturing in Waterloo and retired in 1994 when the plant closed. He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church – Barclay. Donald is survived by two daughters, Kochell (William) Ricklefs of Dunkerton, Koleen Weber of Waterloo; two grandchildren, Kenzley and Hayden Ricklefs both of Dunkerton; and friend Kathaleen Graham of Waterloo. five brothers, Leonard (Janan) Weber of Dunkerton, Robert (Janice) Weber of Dunkerton, Richard (Rhonada) Weber of Marion, Paul (Deb) Weber of Dunkerton, Carl (Penny Friedman) Weber of Washington D.C.; and two sisters, Rita (George) Oetker of Tama and Rosemary (Leslie) Jones of Arvada, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Bernard Weber. |
