White Funeral Home Waterloo – Larry M. Weber, 64 years old died peacefully at his home, Sunday, September 17, 2017 from cancer. He was born November 1, 1952, in Waterloo, IA, the son of Clarence Nicholas Weber and Darlys Ida (Doepke) Weber. He graduated from Don Bosco High School, Gilbertville, IA, in 1970, and then he graduated from Kirkwood Community College, Cedar Rapids, IA, in 1972, with a Associates Degree in Production Agriculture. On October 5, 1974, Larry was united in marriage to Beverly Sue Swyers, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Cedar Falls, IA. Larry enjoyed farming and was also active in the community. He was a former board member of the Jesup Farmers Cooperative; St. Athanasius School; and Jesup Community School. Larry was a member of the first wrestling team at Don Bosco and became an avid supporter. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Gilbertville and Knights of Columbus Council 8227 in Jesup. Larry is survived by his wife, Sue of Waterloo, IA; two sons, Thomas (Peggy) Weber of Oak Park, IL, Ryan (Jaylene) Weber of Waterloo, IA; one daughter, Lori (Chris) Schutte of Jesup, IA; 8 grandchildren, Scarlette and Jasper; Frank, Greta, and one on the way; Kalista, William, Ruby and Phoenix; three sisters, Sharon (Dan) Hambrock, Egan, MN, Judy (Jim) Meier, Tipton, IA, Marilyn (Victor) Kies, Cedar Rapids, IA; two brothers, Donald N. (Rose) Weber of Waterloo, Gerald W. “Gerry” (Shelly) Weber, Jesup; and two sisters-in-law, Brenda Weber of Jesup and Laura Weber of Raymond. He is preceded in death by one son, Matthew (May 18, 1983), his parents, Clarence (2002) and Darlys (2008); two sisters, Janice (1958) and LuAnn (1965); two brothers, Ronald H. Weber (2014) and Dale C. Weber (2015) and his mother-in-law, Beverly Swyers (2013). Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. – Thursday, September 21, 2017, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Gilbertville, IA with burial at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Raymond, IA. Visitation will be at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Gilbertville on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.; where there will be a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 4:00 p.m. and Vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue for an hour before services Thursday also at the church. Memorials may be directed to the family for charitable donations or a charity of the donor’s choice. White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA is in charge of the arrangements. |
