White Funeral Home Jesup – Glenn Robert Foster, 69, passed away on August 16, 2017 surrounded by his family at his son’s home in West Branch, IA. He was born in Independence, Iowa on December 8, 1947 to Thelma (Fernau) and Delmar Foster. After graduating from Jesup High School in 1966, he attended the University of Dubuque before becoming a proud veteran serving in the Vietnam War. For several years he lived in Texas working for the railroad and driving a semi truck. He returned to his beloved Iowa where he was a forever Hawkeye fan. Cramer and Associates was his loyal employer who he enjoyed working for the last 25 years. Whether hunting, fishing, attending Iowa Hawkeye football games, or going on vacations, he loved being with his family and friends. Glenn was preceded in death by his father Delmar Foster. He is survived by his mother of Jesup, his son Jordan Foster Paulsen (Donna) of West Branch, IA and grandson, Logan. He is also survived by his siblings, Fred of Waterloo, IA; Richard (Beverly) of Radcliffe, IA; Daniel (Pam) of Childress, TX; Julie Wunibald (Dave) of Williamsburg, VA; and Jeanna of Jesup, as well as many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Glenn’s Life will be from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 19, 2017, at the Jesup Golf and Country Club, Jesup, IA, where Pump-Scheer American Legion Post #342 of Jesup will conduct Military Rites at 12:30 p.m. The family will receive friends Friday, August 18th at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Memorials will be directed to the family.
