Jesup – Marcella Catherine Kremer, 95 years old of Jesup, IA, died Saturday, May 27, 2017, at ABCM Rehabilitation Centers – West Campus in Independence.  She was born April 26, 1922, at the family home in Poyner Township of Black Hawk County, IA, the daughter of Matt Frost and Cecilia (Phillips) Frost.  On September 29, 1943, she was united in marriage to Paul Benedick Kremer at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Raymond, IA.  Their marriage lasted 73 years.  Marcella was a homemaker and a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church in Jesup.

Marcella is survived by her husband Paul of Jesup, IA; two daughters, Sally (Alfred) Meixner of Panora, IA, Phyllis (Ken) Filreis of Bloomington, MN; one granddaughter, Amanda Filreis; and one sister Mary Delagardelle of Cedar Falls, IA.  She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter Paulette Koontz; and four brothers, Edward, Ervin, Harold and Dale Frost.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. – Thursday, June 1, 2017, at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Jesup, IA with burial at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Waterloo, IA.  Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 31^st at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA, where a Parish Rosary will be recited at 5:00 p.m.  Visitation will continue for an hour before services Thursday at the church.  Memorials may be directed to the family.
