White Funeral Home Jesup – Norma Jene Mullin Wallace, 96 years old, of Arden Hills, Minnesota and formerly of Jesup, IA, went to be with her Lord, Sunday, May 21, 2017, at Johanna Shores Retirement Community in Arden Hills. She was born August 15, 1920, near Lime Springs, Iowa, the daughter of Norman Allen Haven and Esther Myrtle (Latcham) Haven. She graduated from Lime Springs High School with the class of 1938. On October 4, 1941, she was united in marriage to George “Pat” Letmond Mullin at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. He preceded her in death on December 7, 1962. She later married Darold “Wally” Wayne Wallace, November 16, 1968, at the Little Brown Church. He preceded her in death on January 13, 2012. Norma was self employed as a bookkeeper and secretary for many years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Jesup, Iowa, where she had served in various church capacities. Mrs. Wallace is survived by one daughter, Georgia “Patsy” Svien and her husband Jerry of New Brighton, Minnesota; 4 grandchildren, Julie (Dennis) Sample, Scott Svien, Jamie (Pam) Mullin, Natasha Mullin (Chris) Cullen; two great grandchildren, Riley Mullin and Harley Allmendinger. She is preceded in death by her parents, one son Gary Mullin and daughter in law, Kristy Mullin; her husbands, George Mullin and Darold Wallace; one great granddaughter, Megan Sample (February 2012); one brother, Chester A. Haven and one sister, Shirley Ann Subak. Funeral Services will be 1:30 p.m. – Friday, May 26, 2017, at the First Presbyterian Church, Jesup, IA with Rev. John Molacek officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Cedar Falls, IA. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until services Friday at the church. Memorials may be directed to the family.
