White Funeral Home Dunkerton – Karla K. Widdel, 55 years old of Dunkerton, IA, died Thursday, May 18, 2017, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo, IA, after a long illness. She was born June 20, 1961, the daughter of Glenn Vernon Cutsforth and Geraldine Grace (Wells) Cutsforth. Karla graduated from Dunkerton High School with the class of 1979. On December 31, 1992 she was united in marriage to Jon “Jack” Widdel at St. Francis Catholic Church – Barclay in rural Dunkerton, IA. Karla worked at Dunkerton Community Schools and most recently at Chucky’s Tollgate Bar and Grill in Dunkerton. Karla was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church – Barclay. She loved her family and especially liked spending time with her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She will be remembered as a loving family member and friend, who was always there to help others. Karla is survived by her husband, Jon Widdel of Dunkerton, IA; two daughters, Erica Widdel of Dewar, IA, Nikole Widdel of Dunkerton, IA; one grandson, Giavonii Crooks; three granddaughters, Hanna Widdel, Jordyn Crisman, Ciara Crisman; two brothers, Larry (Mary Flaharty) Cutsforth of Hampshire, IL, Daniel (Lynda) Cutsforth of Fairbank, IA; three sisters, Glenda (Tracy) Joens of Shannon, IL, Lori (Keven) Ebert of Cedar Falls, IA, Lisa Cutsforth of Waterloo, IA; and many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one nephew, Jason Joens; and a special friend Vivian Johnson. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. - Monday, May 22, 2017, at St. Francis Catholic Church – Barclay, rural Dunkerton, IA, with Rev. Msgr. Lyle Wilgenbusch, celebrant. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Sunday, May 21, at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA, where there will be a parish rosary at 5:00 p.m. and a parish vigil service at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will continue for an hour before services, Monday at the church. White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA is in charge of arrangements. |
