Jesup – Marlys J. Zuck, 85 years old, of Jesup, Iowa, died on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at the Buchanan County Health Center in Independence of natural causes.  She was born on September 6, 1931, in Black Hawk County, Iowa, the daughter of Vernon C. and Nelda Nadine (Myers) Miller.  She graduated from high school in Jesup, Iowa, with the Class of 1949.  On July 1, 1949, she and Marshall Dean Zuck were married at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. They farmed south of Jesup.  In addition to raising her children and caring for her family, Mrs. Zuck was the bookkeeper for their farming operation.

Mrs. Zuck is survived by her husband of 67 years, Marshall, 5 sons, Dale (Emogene) Zuck, Michael (Mary) Zuck, and Dean (Annette) Zuck, all of Jesup, Iowa, and Rick (Pamela) Zuck and Russell (Jeannine) Zuck, both of Dunkerton, Iowa, 1 daughter, Deanna (Don) Dahl of Marion, Iowa, and 1 daughter-in-law, Rhonda Zuck of Eldora, Iowa.  She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Virginia Zuck of Jesup, Iowa, and Kathleen Brown of Columbia, Missouri, and 2 brothers, Vernon Miller, Jr., of Reinbeck, Iowa, and Lynn Miller of Jesup, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 son, Dennis P. Zuck (on April 30, 2017).

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at the First Presbyterian Church in Jesup with Rev. John Molacek officiating.  Burial will be in Cedar Crest Cemetery in Jesup.  Friends may call for visitation from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, May 12^th, at the White Funeral Home in Jesup, Iowa.
