White Funeral Home Jesup – Greg Q. Arbuckle, 68 years old of Jesup, IA, died Friday, March 24, 2017, at Ravenwood Specialty Care in Waterloo, IA. Greg was born March 23, 1949, in Cedar Rapids, IA. He graduated from Cedar Rapids Washington High School with the class of 1968. He married Berniece Romann and they later divorced. On March 20, 1994, Greg married Sherri Ann Ladage in Jesup, IA. Greg started his career as a master machinist at Vector Corporation in Cedar Rapids, IA. His love of working with his hands and learning new things lead him into gem cutting. As a hobby he started what became Arbuckle’s Tattoo and Piercing Emporium, in Cedar Rapids. In 2008 Greg and Sherri moved to Jesup, and purchased the Jesup Grand Motel. Along with operating the motel, Sherri and Greg created a space for Greg to continue providing “dermagraphology” services. After 50 years in the industry, Greg retired in January of 2017. He also helped legislatures create the laws that govern the Iowa tattoo industry. Greg is survived by his wife, Sherri of Jesup, and one son, Cyprian Alexzander of Cedar Rapids, IA. Private graveside services will be held Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at the Cedar Crest Cemetery, Jesup, IA. White Funeral Home of Jesup, IA is in charge of arrangements. |
