White Funeral Home Fairbank – Raymond Fred Sadler, three days shy of 79, of Fairbank, IA, died Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo, IA, after suffering a stroke. Raymond was born June 3, 1938, on the family farm near Dunkerton, IA, the son of Leonard Sadler and Mae (Fettkether) Sadler. He attended Dunkerton High School. Raymond was a lifetime farmer and in his later years worked at Wal-Mart in Waverly, IA. Raymond is survived by five brothers, Harold Sadler of Dunkerton, IA, Edwin (Donna Mae) Sadler of Fairbank, IA, Erving Sadler of Dunkerton, IA, Melvin (Theresa) Sadler of Dunkerton, IA, Gerald (Elaine) Sadler of Waterloo, IA; three sisters, Rita Schmitz of Jesup, IA, Judy Starbeck of Waterloo, IA, Donna Nelson of Madrid, IA; one sister-in-law, Thres Sadler of Fairbank, IA; and many nieces and nephews. Raymond is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Alvin Sadler in infancy, Dean Sadler, and Garold Sadler; and one sister Mary Sadler in infancy. Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. – Saturday, June 3, 2017 at St. Francis Catholic Church – Barclay, rural Dunkerton, IA, with Fr. Lyle Wilgenbusch as celebrant. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the church. Memorials may be directed to the church and the family.
