White Funeral Home Jesup – Carol Maxine Temeyer, 88 years old of Jesup, IA, died Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at ABCM Rehabilitation Center – West Campus in Independence, IA, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. – Friday, March 10, 2017, at the First United Methodist Church, Jesup, IA, with burial at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Independence, IA. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 9th at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, and for an hour before services Friday at the church. Memorials will be directed to the church and the American Alzheimer’s Association. Carol was born February 3, 1929, in rural Black Hawk County, Iowa, the daughter of Irvin Williams and Clara (Miller) Williams. She graduated with the Jesup High School Class of 1946. On November 16, 1946, she was united in marriage to George H. Temeyer at the First United Methodist Church. They made their home in rural Jesup where they raised their family, farmed, and kept horses. Carol was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the church circle, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Jesup Ambulance, the Temeyer Sewing Bee, and other informal social groups and horse enthusiast circles. Carol loved to travel with George all over the country and show their horses. Carol is survived by her husband of 70 years, George Temeyer of Jesup, IA; one son, Irvin (Portia) Temeyer of Iowa City, IA; 1 son-in-law, Dan Rewoldt of Independence, IA; 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren two sisters, Leola Temeyer of Independence and Francis Ramsey of Des Moines, IA; one brother, Roger Williams of Jesup, IA, many nieces and nephews and her dog Kealey. She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Narcie Rewoldt in 2015. White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA is handling the arrangements. |
