White Funeral Home Dunkerton – Eljean M. Dreesman, of Dunkerton, IA, and formerly of Hudson, IA, died Friday, February 10, 2017, at her home. She was born March 4, 1948, in Franklin County, IA, the daughter of Elzo Schwennen and LaVonne Idl (Miller) Schwennen. She graduated from Parkersburg High School with the class of 1966. On September 23, 1966, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Dreesman at the Aplington Reformed Church, Aplington, IA. Eljean worked as a waitress, a nurse’s aide, as an assistant cook and later as a cook at Harmony House in Waterloo. Eljean is survived by her husband, Kenneth Dreesman of Dunkerton; one daughter, Roxane Dreesman of New Hampton, IA; three sons, Keith, Micky and Dale Dreesman, all of Dunkerton; 5 grandchildren; and two sisters, Nancy Jo (Merle) Stoppelmoore of Spencer, WI and Janell Dignan of Maryville, Missouri. Her parents preceded her in death. Funeral Services will be 1:30 p.m. – Tuesday, February 14, 2017, at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA, with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery, Parkersburg, IA. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family. |
