White Funeral Home Jesup – Sally L. Ciesielski, 80 years old and formerly of Jesup, IA, died Monday, January 30, 2017, at ABCM Rehabilitation Center – West Campus in Independence, IA. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. – Saturday, February 4, 2017, at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Jesup, with burial at St. Athanasius Catholic Cemetery, Jesup. Visitation will be from 3:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Friday at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, where there will be a Catholic Daughter’s of America Rosary at 4:00 p.m. and Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m., on Friday. Visitation will continue for an hour before services Saturday at the church. Memorials will be directed to Camp Courageous of Iowa in Monticello, IA and to the Cedar Valley Hospice, Independence Office. Sally was born, December 14, 1936, at Cassville, Wisconsin, the daughter of George Robinson and Mary (Reinhart) Robinson. She graduated from high school in West Union, IA, with the class of 1955. On July 30, 1955, she was united in marriage to Robert Leo Ciesielski at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Independence. Before retirement she was manager of the hot lunch program at St. John’s Catholic Schools in Independence. A position she held for 26 years. She was a member of the Catholic Daughter’s of America in Independence; a former member of the Red Hatters in Independence and a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church in Jesup. Sally is survived by her husband, Robert Ciesielski of Independence; one daughter, Cayla Brown of Waterloo; one son, Stephen (Janet) Ciesielski of Valley Springs, South Dakota; and three grandchildren, Joe Brown, Michelle and Elizabeth Ciesielski. Her parents and 13 brothers and sisters, preceded her in death. |
