Jesup – Marilyn Louise Smith, 84 years old of Jesup, IA, died Friday, December 23, 2016, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo.  She was born November 22, 1932, in Graham, IA, the daughter of Cecil Cree and Cora (Kaufman) Cree.  She graduated from high school in Oelwein and worked at the Jesup Creamery.  On June 22, 1952, she was united in marriage to James Eugene Smith in Hazelton, IA.  Marilyn later worked many years as a teacher’s aide at the Jesup Community School.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, James Smith of Jesup, IA; one daughter, Cindee (David) Adams of Mossyrock, Washington; two sons, Tim (Carol) Smith of Whitefish, Montana, and Scott (Connie) Smith of Jesup, IA; also 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and one sister, Myrna Ohl of Oelwein, IA.  Her parents preceded her in death.

Family services were held Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA.  Memorials may be directed to the family.
