Raymond – Jacqueline J. Conrad, 89 years old, of Cedar Falls, IA, and formerly of Raymond, IA, died Monday, November 28, 2016, at New Aldaya Lifescapes, in Cedar Falls.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. – Friday, December 2, 2016, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Gilbertville, IA, with burial at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Raymond, IA.

Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, December 1, 2016 at White Funeral Home, Jesup, where there will be a Catholic Order of Foresters Rosary at 4:00 p.m. and a Vigil service at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue for an hour before services at the church on Friday. Memorials will be directed to the family and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Jacqueline was born July 5, 1927, in Bremer County, IA, where she was raised by her mother, Naomi (Fulbright) Thompson and stepfather, Donald Thompson. She graduated from Janesville High School with the class of 1945. She married Richard Conrad in 1947 and they later divorced. She married Vincent Schmitz in 1976 and they later divorced. In 1967 she graduated from Pitze’s Waterloo School of Beauty Culture and opened Jackie’s Beauty Salon in Raymond, where she operated for 25 years.

Jacqueline was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Evansdale, IA, where she enjoyed arranging flowers for the altar. She was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters. Jacqueline was very creative and enjoyed doing arts and crafts, including pine needle weaving, gardening, painting, and working with ceramics. She also enjoyed travel and accomplished to see many different countries over the years.

Jacqueline is survived by her 4 sons, John (Karen) Conrad of Waterloo, IA, Roger Conrad of Raymond, IA, Ronald Conrad of Elk Run Heights, IA, Alan Conrad of Dallas, TX; 2 daughters, Rita Metzger, of Altoona, IA, Shelly (Gary) Delagardelle of Waterloo, IA; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 1 sister, Jeraldine Ingleton of Florida. Her parents preceded her in death.
