Dunkerton – Rita Ann Nuebel, 91 of ABCM Rehabilitation Centers of Independence – East Campus, died Monday, November 14, 2016, at her home.  She was born February 24, 1925, at Alta Vista, IA, the daughter of August Felder and Anne (Delsing) Felder.  She attended St. Bernard’s School in Alta Vista. On April 28, 1945, she was united in marriage to Paul Edward Nuebel, Jr. in Key West, Florida.  They made their home on the farm near Dunkerton.  In earlier years, Rita Ann worked as a secretary for a time at John Deere in Waterloo.  She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church – Barclay, rural Dunkerton and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America.

Mrs. Nuebel is survived by four daughters, Rebecca (John) Sweeney of Independence, IA, Margaret (Larry) Boren of Cocoa, FL, Lori Falk of New York, NY, Mary Lynn Nuebel of Iowa City, IA; four sons, Vincent (Diane) Nuebel of Dunkerton, Gregory Nuebel of Bailey, CO, Joseph (Teri) Nuebel of Tracy, CA, Paul (Lois) Nuebel, Jr. of Center Point, IA; 17 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; one step-great grandson.  In addition to her parents; her husband; one grandson, Jeremy Nuebel; two great-grand daughters, Sara Sweeney and Bailey Nuebel; four brothers, Gene, Ray, Jerry and Bernard; and four sisters, Irma, Madonna, Helen and Irene, preceded her in death.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. – Saturday, December 10, 2016, at St. Francis Catholic Church, rural Dunkerton, IA, with Fr. Lyle L. Wilgenbusch as celebrant.  Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends for an hour before services at the church.
