Independence – Phyllis J. Glines, 81 years old, of Independence, Iowa, died on Thursday, November 10, 2016, at the Buchanan County Health Center in Independence.  She was born on August 29, 1935, in Fresno, California, the daughter of Emery and Mae Brower.  She attended school in California and then moved with her family to Oklahoma.  She was married to George Herbert Glines in Enid, Oklahoma and they later divorced.  Mrs. Glines attended the Freedom Baptist Church in Independence.  She enjoyed time spent with her family, cats, and watching scary movies on T.V.

Mrs. Glines is survived by 3 daughters, Diana Miller of Warsaw, Missouri, Cathy (Dick) Bishop of Garden City, Missouri, and Cindy (Oakley) Bandy of Independence, Iowa, 1 son, Kenneth (Kathy) Glines of Porum, Oklahoma, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, and 2 brothers.

Mrs. Glines body was cremated and private services will be held at a later date.  White Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
