White Funeral Home Jesup –Donald F. LeBahn, Jr., 76 years old of Jesup, IA, died Tuesday, June 07, 2016, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, IA, from complications of leukemia. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. – Friday, June 10, 2016, at the Open Bible Church, 928 Jefferson Street, Waterloo, IA, with burial at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Independence, IA. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 9th at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA, and for an hour before services Friday at the church. Memorials may be directed to the Open Bible Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice. Donald was born January 4, 1940, in Iowa City, IA, the son of Donald Fredrick LeBahn, Sr. and Beulah Maxine (Garrison) LeBahn. He graduated from high school in New Hartford, IA, with the class of 1958. In 1964 he married Judy Cordes. From this union Don’s children were born. Later Don married Doris Diane Fisher, on June 14, 1984, in Charleston, West Virginia. They made their home in Jesup, IA. Before retirement, Don had worked for Hinson Manufacturing in Waterloo, Land-O-Lakes in Hudson and Iowa Machinery in Waterloo. He was a member of the Open Bible Church in Waterloo and had served on the church board. He was also a member of the Jesup Golf and Country Club. Don also had served in the Army National Guard. Don is survived by his wife, Doris LeBahn of Jesup; two sons, Paul LeBahn of Poplar Bluff, MO, Jonathan (Carrie) LeBahn of New Hartford, IA; one daughter, Patricia (Troy) Mehmen of Sumner, IA; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; one sister, Shirley Johnson of Dike, IA; four brothers, Art (Lois) LeBahn of Madisonville, KY, Dick “Bo” (Jan) LeBahn of Montezuma, IA, Dave (Carolyn) LeBahn of New Hartford, IA, Tim (Denise) LeBahn of Cedar Falls, IA; and many nieces and nephews. His parents; two sisters, Nellie and Maxine and stillborn twin daughters, Donna and Darla preceded him in death. |
