Diana Gay was born June 2, 1943 in Philadelphia, PA, to Melvin and Ferne Griffith. When she was eleven, the family moved toNokomis, FL. On August 4, 1962, she was united in marriage to Steven Felt in Englewood, Florida. In May of 1968 they moved to Oelwein, Iowa, and then in 1986 to Independence, Iowa. Diana worked for a number of years as an educational sign language interpreter, working for the former AEA 7 at schools in Waterloo, Jesup and Independence, Iowa. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on October 26, 1957. She enjoyed sharing in the ministry and teaching people the Bible. Diana Gay especially enjoyed the meetings and association of her spiritual family at the Kingdom Hall in Oelwein. She is survived by her husband Steven, sister, Lee Baldwin, Nokomis, Florida; three children; Kathleen (Terry) Houser, of Marengo, Iowa; Andrew Felt, Boise, Idaho; Rebekah (Nick) Freisinger, Marine, Illinois; four grandchildren; Paul (Vicki) Houser, Interlochen, Michigan; James (Leah) Houser, Marengo, Iowa; Sarah (Abrham) Jacobo; Iowa City, Iowa; Cora Diana Felt, Fairbanks, Alaska; one great grandson, Philip Houser, Interlochen, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents. |
