Dunkerton – George Harry Johnson, 71 of rural Dunkerton, IA, died Friday, November 13, 2015, at his home.  He was born March 2, 1944 in Waterloo, IA, the son of George Harry Johnson and Neva L. (Hedden) Johnson.  He was a welder at John Deere in Waterloo until retirement and also farmed.  George enjoyed hunting and fishing and being outdoors.  He was a member of Pheasants Forever.

George is survived by one son, George (Melisa) Johnson of Galva, IL; two daughters, Kimberly Chesmore of Independence, IA, and Roxanne (Kurt) Moeller of Boone, IA; 8 grandchildren; and a sister Sharon (Dennis) Daubenberger of Cape Coral, FL.  His parents, an infant brother, and one grandson, David Johnson preceded him in death.
