White Funeral Home Raymond – John E. “Jack” Weber, 73 years old of Raymond, IA, died Saturday, November 7, 2015, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, IA. He was born December 5, 1941, at La Porte City, IA, the son of Edmund Nicholas Weber and Rose Catherine (Schmitz) Weber. He graduated from Don Bosco High School in Gilbertville with the class of 1960. On February 22, 1965, he was united in marriage to Darlene Marcella Schmit in Jesup, IA. Jack worked in the foundry at John Deere in Waterloo before retirement. He also was a manager at McDonalds in Waterloo, in addition to farming. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Raymond and UAW Local #838 in Waterloo. Mr. Weber is survived by four daughters, Sr. M. Martha (Karen) Weber of Alton, IL, Barbara Weber of Chandler, AZ, Kim (Steve) Seibert of Brooklyn Park, MN, Nicole Weber of Cedar Rapids; two sons, Mark (Christy) Weber of Waterloo, Gary Weber of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren, Mackenzie, Ryan and Abbi Weber, Sophia and Noah Seibert; two brothers, Jim (Carol) Weber of Gilbertville, Edmund “Eddie” Weber of Raymond; three sisters, Roberta (Bob) Gray of Waterloo, Wilma (Kenny) Fischels of Gilbertville, Mary Jean Braun of Lompoc, CA; two sisters in law, Ruth Weber of Puyallup, WA, and Mary Ann Weber of Waterloo; also a special friend, Mary Ann Weller. His parents; wife Darlene (April 19, 2013); two brothers, Elmer Weber and Ronald N. Weber; and one sister, Geneva Wallace, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. – Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Gilbertville, IA, with Fr. Henry P. Huber as Celebrant. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Raymond, IA. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday with a Rosary at 4:00 p.m. and Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. all at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA. Visitation will continue for an hour before services Tuesday at the church. Memorials will be directed to The Sisters of St. Francis of the Martyr St. George, Alton, Illinois; The Bosco System, Gilbertville and St. Joseph Church, Raymond. |
