Jesup –Jessica Leslie Lorenz, 31 years old of Jesup, IA, and formerly of Cedar Falls, IA, died Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at the Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, NE, from cancer.  She was born December 11, 1983, in Lawrence, Kansas, the daughter of Francis Walter Kohler and Debra Lynn (Putz) Kohler.  Following graduation from Cedar Falls High School she received her bachelors and masters degrees in criminology from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, IA.  Jessica worked as a Residential Officer for the Iowa Department of Corrections until her illness.  On May 15, 2010, she married Seth Sean Lorenz in Washburn, IA.

Jessica is survived by her husband, Seth Lorenz of Jesup; one daughter, MacKenzie and two sons, Carter and Greyson all at home; also her parents, Dr. Frank and Debra Kohler of Cedar Falls; one sister Aimee (Jaron Balvanz) Kohler of Urbandale, IA; and her mother and father in law, Dale and Betty Lorenz of Jesup.  Her grandparents preceded her in death.

A gathering to celebrate Jessica’s life will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA.  Memorials may be directed to the family.
