Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. – Friday, June 5, 2015, at St. John’s Catholic Church, Independence, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. – Thursday at the White Funeral Home, Independence where there will be a Parish rosary at 4:00 p.m.; Military memorial service at 6:30 p.m.; and Vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to St. John’s Church in Independence. Mr. Pint was born January 16, 1929, in Independence, IA, the son of William J. Pint and Alvina K. (Reuter) Pint. He attended schools in Buchanan County Iowa. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Norbert drove a milk route for several years and also farmed. He was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Independence. He is survived by one daughter, Toni Pint-Burke of Waterloo, IA; one son, Dale W. Pint of Waterloo, IA; three grandchildren, Alli Burke, Erika Burke and Zachary Pint; also one sister, Dorothy Richards of Oran, IA; and a sister-in-law, Nella Yarrington of Waterloo, IA. He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Lawrence Pint, La Verne Pint and Floyd Pint; and one sister, Leona Suhr. |
