Traer – Sherry V. Meggers, 64 years old, of Traer, Iowa, died on Thursday, April 2, 2015, at her home.  She was born on September 1, 1950, in Pennsylvania, the daughter of Spencer William and Marian Luellen (Albert) Hutsenpillar.  She attended school in Pennsylvania and then, continued at Hawkeye Technical College in Waterloo, Iowa.  Mrs. Meggers was a nurse’s aide at the Sunrise Hill Nursing Care Center in Traer.  She enjoyed reading and spending time with her friends and her dog.

Mrs. Meggers is survived by 1 daughter, Jennifer Sebetka of Independence, Iowa, and 1 son, Curtis (Krystal) Meggers of Traer, Iowa.  She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Kolby Sebetka, Drake Sebetka, and Alex Meggers, and her best friend, Martha Sebetka of Traer, Iowa, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters.

The family will celebrate Mrs. Megger’s life from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Monday, April 6, 2015, at the White Funeral Home in Independence.  Her cremated remains will be placed in the Cremation Garden at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Independence.
