White Funeral Home Jesup – Jeanne Marion Fuller, 84 years old and formerly of Jesup, IA, died Thursday, February 12, 2015, at the Buchanan County Health Center – Long Term Care Unit in Independence, IA. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. – Monday, February 16, 2015, at the First United Methodist Church, Jesup, with burial at the Littleton Cemetery, Littleton. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the White Funeral Home, Jesup and for an hour before services Monday at the church. Memorials will be directed to the First United Methodist Church, Dollars for Scholars and the Jesup Public Library. Jeanne was born May 23, 1930, in Cedar Rapids, IA, the daughter of Joseph R. Kinnan and Bess B. (Baldwin) Kinnan. She attended Franklin School and Roosevelt High School in Cedar Rapids, graduating with the class of 1948. On October 2, 1948, she was united in marriage to Lester Grant Crowell at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, IA. He preceded her in death on February 14, 1975, following a car accident. On August 18, 1989, she married Leland Orley Fuller at the First United Methodist Church in Jesup. He preceded her in death on March 4, 2001. Jeanne worked 25 years as a secretary at the Jesup High School office. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church; had served as president of the American Legion Auxiliary; and served on the Jesup Library Board during construction of the new library. Jeanne is survived by one son, Mark (Jane) Crowell of Jesup; one daughter, Joleen Sherrets of Owatonna, MN; one step-daughter, Sheryl (Richard) Mott of Jesup; 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one sister, Judith Woods and one brother, Jerry (Anna) Kinnan. She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Joseph Kinnan; and husbands, Lester Crowell and Leland Fuller. |
