White Funeral Home Independence – Sheryl A. Robinson, 67 years old, of Independence, Iowa, died on Sunday, September 14, 2014, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. She was born on April 30, 1947, in Independence, the daughter of Kyle Walter and Blanche Rose (Fowlkes) Hare. She graduated from high school in Independence with the Class of 1965. She was a member of the Triumphant Church in Independence. For many years she welcomed foster children into her home. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and baking. And big holiday meals with all of the family were a special event. Mrs. Robinson is survived by 2 sons, Allen W. Robinson of Walker, Iowa, and William Robinson of Rowley, Iowa, 2 daughters, Michele (Jeff) Nelson of Belton, Missouri, and Danielle Steines of Plattville, Wisconsin, and 9 grandchildren. She is also survived by 1 brother, Ed Hare of Las Vegas, Nevada, and 2 sisters, Marcia Michels of Cedar Falls, Iowa, and Rita Rainey of Independence. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2014, at the Triumphant Church in Independence with Pastor Lance Fricke officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Independence. Friends may call for visitation from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 17th, at the White Funeral Home in Independence. |
