Independence – Thomas Lee Davis, 40 years old of Independence, IA and formerly of Jesup, IA, died Thursday, May 8, 2014, in Independence.  He was born August 27, 1973, in Iowa City, IA, the son of Charles Ray Davis, Jr. and Hilma E. (Anderson) Davis.  He was confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church – Jubilee, rural La Porte City, IA.  Tom worked general labor for a time and earned his GED certificate.

Tom is survived by two brothers, Charles (Cindy) Davis, III, of Lakeville, MN, and John Davis of Jesup, IA.  His parents preceded him in death.

Graveside services will be held 3:00 p.m. – Friday, May 16, 2014, at Zion Lutheran – Jubilee Cemetery, rural La Porte City, IA with Rev. Jenna Couch officiating.
