Independence – Tate Alan Sattizahn was stillborn on May 5, 2014, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids from anencephaly.  He was the son of Alex Paul and Allison Jean (Crow) Sattizahn of Quasqueton.

In Addition to his parents, he is survived by 2 brothers, Talan Crow and Tanner Crow, both at home, his maternal grandparents, Marilyn and Bill Crow of Quasqueton, his paternal grandparents, Sandra and Roger Sattizahn of Rowley, Iowa, and his great grandparents, Jeanice and William Shafer of Winthrop, Iowa, Caroline and Richard Stocker of Solon, Iowa, Nan (Robert Sindelar) Cothran of Independence, and Sid (Kathleen Breckenridge) Cothran of Kansas City, Missouri.

Tate was preceded in death by one brother, Thatcher Sattizahn.

Private family services will be held at the Union Church in Quasqueton with Rev. Kevin Jennings officiating.  Burial will be in the Quasqueton Cemetery in Quasqueton.

White Funeral Home of Quasqueton is in charge of arrangement.
