White Funeral Home Jesup – Ronald Henry Weber, 54 years old of Raymond, IA, died Monday, April 21, 2014, at his home of cancer. He was born November 18, 1959, in Black Hawk County, IA, the son of Clarence Nicholas Weber and Darlys Ida (Doepke) Weber. He graduated from Jesup High School with the class of 1978, the attended and graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1982, with a bachelor’s degree in Business. On July 27, 1985, he was united in marriage to Laura Anne Schaffer at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waterloo. They made their home in Evansdale and later moved to Raymond, just three years ago. Ron was employed by Menards in Waterloo as the Millwork Manager before his illness. He was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Waterloo and Evansdale Knights of Columbus Council #11192. He enjoyed the curves in the road and the wind in his face as an avid motorcyclist. Ron is survived by his wife, Laura Weber of Raymond; two sons, Nick (Sara) Weber of Waterloo, Dan Weber of Ames, IA; one grandson on the way; three sisters, Sharon (Dan) Hambrock of Eagan, MN, Judy (Jim) Meier of North Liberty, Marilyn (Victor) Kies of Cedar Rapids; four brothers, Larry (Sue) Weber of Waterloo, Dale C. (Brenda) Weber of Jesup, his twin brother Donald (Rose) Weber of Waterloo, Gerald W. “Gerry” (Shelly) Weber of Jesup. His parents, two sisters, Janice Weber and Lou Ann Weber and one nephew, Matthew Weber preceded him in death. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. – Thursday, April 24, 2014, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Waterloo, IA, with burial at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Raymond, IA. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 23rd at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA, where there will be a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 4:00 p.m. and a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue for an hour before services Thursday at the church. Memorials will be directed to Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Waterloo and to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. |
