Jesup – Frederick G. Steinbron, Sr., 94 years old of Jesup, IA, died Thursday, March 27, 2014, at his home.  He was born August 9, 1919, in Black Hawk County, IA, the son of George John Steinbron and Eleanor (Henderson) Steinbron.  He was raised in Northwest Iowa near Mallard, where he graduated from high school.  At the age of 21 he relocated back to the Jesup area.  On April 11, 1953, he was united in marriage to Margie Marie Temeyer in Jesup, IA.  She preceded him in death in 2010.  Mr. Steinbron was a farmer and also worked 32 years at John Deere in Waterloo.  He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Independence, IA, and a member of Gideons International.

Mr. Steinbron is survived by four sons, Frederick Steinbron, Jr., George (Dolly) Steinbron, Earl (Tina) Steinbron, Joe (Kris) Steinbron, all of Jesup; three daughters, Lena (Ray) Weber of Jesup, Nancy (Allen) Dlouhy of Edgewood, IA, Eleanor Steinbron of Olathe, KS; 26 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; one brother, Melvin (Helen) Steinbron of Minneapolis, MN; three sisters, Helen Welch, Fayette, IA, Miriam Steinbron, Waterloo, IA, Ruth (Harold) Melles of Downers Grove, IL.  In addition to his wife, Margie; he is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Harold and Maurice Steinbron.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. – Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at Jesup Bible Fellowship, Jesup, with Pastor Matt Perez and Pastor Mike Andersen officiating.  Burial will be at Cedar Crest Cemetery, Jesup.  Visitation will be Monday, March 31, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, and for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.

Memorials will be directed to Gideons International.
