White Funeral Home Gilbertville – Mary C. Weber, 69 years old of Gilbertville, IA, died Thursday, March 13, 2014, at her home. She was born March 22, 1944, in Waterloo, IA, the daughter of Leander J. Frost and Magdalen H. (Schares) Frost. On April 4, 1964, she was united in marriage to Thomas Joseph Weber in Gilbertville. A lifelong Gilbertville resident, she graduated from Don Bosco High School with the class of 1962, was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Catholic Order of Foresters. Mary had worked as a cook at Covenant Hospital, the 10th inning and at the time of her death was employed by Casey’s General Store in Gilbertville. Mrs. Weber is survived by one daughter, Renee A. Weber of Gilbertville; one son, Thomas (Kris) Weber of Cedar Falls, three grandchildren, Sarah Weber of Kansas City, MO, Matt Weber of Cedar Falls, Kelsey Weber of Gilbertville; her mother, Magdalen Frost of Gilbertville; four brothers, Ron (Mary) Frost and Tony (LaDonna) Frost of Gilbertville, Lee (Laura) Frost of Jesup, Randy (Diana) Frost of Unionville, MO; one sister, Helene (Luis) Reyes of Littleton; also two brothers-in-law, Gene (Virginia) Cunningham of Oelwein, Greg (Dee) Weber of Jesup; two sisters-in-law, Julie Frost of Gilbertville and Tammy (Jon) Bronemann of Cedar Falls and special friend, Tom Markussen of Lansing. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas in 2001; also her father, three brothers, Irvin Frost, Joseph Frost and Merrill Frost and one sister, Marlene Cunningham. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. – Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Gilbertville, IA, with Fr. Henry P. Huber as celebrant. Music will be by Bobbie Schares, organist and the Resurrection Choir. Casket Bearers will be Eric Frost, Cory Frost, Casey Frost, Lee Frost, Jr., Luis Reyes, Jr., Rod Frost, Curt Frost. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Gilbertville. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA, where there will be a Vigil Service at 4:00 p.m. with Msgr. Ralph P. Simington officiating, and a Catholic Order of Foresters Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue for an hour before services Tuesday at the church. Memorials may be directed to the family. |
