White Funeral Home Fairbank – Dean Raymond Reuter, 42 years old, of Fairbank, IA, and formerly of Jesup, IA, died Thursday, February 13, 2014, of an apparent heart attack in Yamagata, Japan. Dean was born December 9, 1971, in Waterloo, IA, the son of Raymond Francis Reuter and Deborah Estelle (Nelson) Reuter. He graduated from Don Bosco High School, Gilbertville, IA, with the class of 1990. On August 30, 1997, he was united in marriage to Shana Rae Buss at St. Athanasius Catholic Church in Jesup, IA. Dean was employed by Power Pavers, Inc of Cedar Falls, IA. He traveled throughout the world working as a service technician building paving equipment. He enjoyed sports, including hunting, fishing, truck pulling and auto racing. Dean is survived by his wife, Shana Reuter of Fairbank; father, Raymond Reuter of Jesup; mother, Deborah (Terry Canwell) Reilly of LaPorte City; paternal grandfather, Donald Nelson of Kellogg; one sister, Lynn (Josh) Ellsworth of LaPorte City; two brothers, Ryan (Alynn) Reuter of Waterloo and Scot Reuter of Washburn; and his loyal dog, Deuce. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Vincent and Evelyn Reuter and his maternal grandmother, Marge Nelson. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. – Tuesday, February 25, 2014, at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Jesup, IA. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Raymond, IA. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24th at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA, and for an hour before services Tuesday at the Church. Memorials may be directed to the family. |
