Independence – Janet R. Kimm, 91 years old, of Independence, Iowa, died on Friday, October 18, 2013, at the ABCM Rehab Center Independence – West in Independence.  She was born on November 5, 1922, in Norway, Iowa, the daughter of William Silas and Anna Virginia (Hoard) Kimm.  She attended the country schools.  She never married.

Miss Kimm is survived by 2 sisters, Eleanor Wayson of Waterloo, Iowa, and Charlotte Hessenius of Cedar Rapids, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister, Kathryn Kimm and 4 brothers, Ed Kimm, Raymond Kimm, Charles Kimm, and Robert Kimm.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 21, 2013, at the White Funeral Home in Independence, Iowa, with Deacon John Herman officiating.  Burial will be in Cedar Crest Cemetery in Jesup, Iowa.
