Jesup – Harry C. McAtee, 77 years old of rural Jesup, IA, died Monday, August 12, 2013, at the Cedar Valley Hospice House in Waterloo, IA.  He was born July 22, 1936 at Brandon, IA, the son of C.D. McAtee and Gladys Olivia (Thompson) McAtee.  He graduated from Jesup High School with the class of 1954.  On May 28, 1960, he was united in marriage to Sharon Diann Bakken in Waterloo.  Harry worked at Rath Packing in Waterloo until 1963 and farmed until retirement in 2011.

Mr. McAtee is survived by his wife Sharon of Jesup; seven daughters, Wanda McAtee of Fort Dodge, Maureen (Dan) Even of Jesup, Teresa (Ed) Fischels of Jesup, Carmen (Greg Fratzke) McAtee of Jesup, Amy (Troy) Studebaker of Independence, Kristine (Mark) Recker of Independence and Renee McAtee of Jesup; also 13 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 2 step-great grandchildren; three sisters, Ardis (Bill) Hickey of Independence, Donna Masteller of Jesup, Marlys (Bill) Fuller of Eatonton, GA; one brother, Dallas (Tiny) McAtee of Jesup, one sister in law, Peggy McAtee of River Hills; one brother in law, David Ciesielski of Independence.  He is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Fern Fenner, Hazel Eldridge, Darlene Ciesielski; one brother, Roy McAtee; and one granddaughter, Amber Fischels.

Funeral Services will be 1:30 p.m. – Thursday, August 15 2013, at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA with burial in the Brandon Cemetery, Brandon, IA.  Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home in Jesup.

Memorials will be directed to the Cedar Valley Hospice.
