White Funeral Home Jesup – Marjorie M. Teeter, 97 years old of Friendship Village, Waterloo, IA and formerly of Jesup, IA, died Thursday, July 25, 2013 at her home. She was born July 22, 1916, on a farm in McDonough County, Illinois the daughter of Glenn Thomas Seaburn and Evangeline Estella (Bouher) Seaburn. She graduated from West High School in Waterloo, IA, with the class of 1933. On June 20, 1937, she was united in marriage to Clyde Teeter in Waterloo. They moved to Jesup in 1950, and Marjorie became employed by the Jesup Consolidated School District and later Jesup Community School District. She was the District Secretary for 26 years before retiring in 1976. Marjorie was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Jesup. Mrs. Teeter is survived by one granddaughter, Kerry (Gary) Bennett of Rogers, AK; one grandson, Barry (Vanessa) Teeter of Las Vegas, NV; and three great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Clyde and her son Timothy; also one sister, Ona Lee Galloway and one brother, Eugene Seaburn. Memorial Services will be 11:00 a.m. – Saturday, August 3, 2013, at the First United Methodist Church, Jesup, IA, with Rev. Vicki Reece officiating. Kraig Emick will be the soloist. The family will greet friends following the service. A memorial fund has been established. White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA, is in charge of arrangements. |
