White Funeral Home Raymond – Darlene M. Weber, 67 years old of Raymond, IA, died Friday, April 19, 2013, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, IA. She was born May 2, 1945, in Waterloo, IA, the daughter of Lawrence Jacob Schmit and Mildred (Schares) Schmit. She graduated with the class of 1963 from Don Bosco High School in Gilbertville. On February 22, 1965, she was united in marriage to John Edmund Weber in Jesup, IA. They have made their home in Raymond for many years where Darlene was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Darlene is survived by her husband John “Jack” Weber of Raymond; four daughters, Sr. M. Martha (Karen) Weber of Alton, IL, Barbara Weber of Chandler, AZ, Kim (Steve) Seibert of Brooklyn Park, MN, Nicole Weber of Cedar Rapids; two sons, Mark (Christy) Weber of Waterloo, Gary Weber of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren, Mackenzie, Ryan and Abbi Weber, Sophia and Noah Seibert. Seven brothers, LeRoy (Joan) Schmit, Cleo (Evelyn) Schmit, Neil (Patti) Schmit, Earl (Cindy) Schmit, Duane (Annette) Schmit, Alfred (Lisa) Schmit, Clyde (Brenda) Schmit all of Jesup; two sisters, Audrey (Brad) Huff and Mary Ann Schmit of Marion, IA, also sister in law, Janie Schmit of Jesup, IA. She is preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Ernest Schmit. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. – Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Gilbertville, IA, with Fr. Henry P. Huber as Celebrant. Music will be by Laurie Thome, organist and the St. Joseph Church Choir. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Raymond, IA. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Sunday with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday with a Rosary at 4:00 p.m. and Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. all at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA. The casket will not be open before services Tuesday at the church. Memorials will be directed to The Sisters of St. Francis of the Martyr St. George, Alton, Illinois; The Bosco System, Gilbertville and St. Joseph Church, Raymond. |
