White Funeral Home Jesup – Ronald W. “Ronnie” Weber, 83 years old of Jesup, IA, died Thursday, February 14, 2013, at his home. He was born February 17, 1929, in Black Hawk County, IA, near Jesup, the son of Albert Weber and Loretta (Kies) Weber. On February 8, 1950, he was united in marriage to Arlene Marcella Federspiel at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Raymond, IA. Ronald was a machinist at John Deere in Waterloo before retirement and also farmed. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Catholic Order of Foresters in Gilbertville and UAW Local 838 in Waterloo, IA. Mr. Weber is survived by his wife, Arlene Weber of Jesup; two daughters, Mary Lee (John) Even of Readlyn, Jolene (Dan) Detweiler of Jesup; four sons, Rick (Roxanne) Weber of Jesup, Russell (Pamela) Weber of Marion, Ray (Lena) Weber of Jesup, Bob (Bonnie) Weber of Jesup; 25 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; one brother, Laverne (Janice) Weber of Gilbertville; four sisters, Ella (Tony) Even of Gilbertville, Norma Schares of LaPorte City, Doris (Bernie) Brown of Dunkerton, LaVonne (Don) Friedley of Waterloo; He is preceded in death by his parents; two grandchildren, Thomas Even and Donny Even; five brothers, Raphael, Stanley, Leo, Cleo and Arnold Weber; and two sisters, Magdalene Wirtz and Betty Dilley. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. – Monday, February 18, 2013, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Gilbertville, IA, with Fr. Henry P. Huber as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Gilbertville. Honorary Casket Bearers will be Ron, Joe, James, Lon Even, Cory, Jason, Jordon Weber, Caleb Weber, Troy Detweiler, Randy and Travis Weber. Casket Bearers will be John Even, Jeremy Weber, Justin Weber, Josh Weber, Rob Detweiler, and Mitch Weber. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA where there will be a 4:00 p.m. Catholic Order of Foresters Rosary and a 7:00 p.m. Vigil Service. Visitation will continue on Monday at the church for an hour before services. Memorials will be directed to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Bosco System and Hospice Compassas. |
