Jesup – Billy Lee “Bill” Adams, 65, of Jesup, Iowa, died Thursday, May 3, 2012 at his home of cancer.  He was born March 7, 1947 in Independence, Iowa, son of Harold Lloyd Adams and Viola Mae Roster Adams.  He married Becky Hicks in 1965 and later divorced.  He then married Cindy Card in 1980 and later divorced.  He married Mary Lea Putnam Williams on August 8, 1992, in Jesup, Iowa.  Billy was a Mechanic working at John Deere in Waterloo for 21 years and Stoner Radiator in Waterloo for 19 years.  He was a member of the American Lutheran Church, Jesup and formerly a member of UAW Local 838 in Waterloo.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; one son, Nicholas(Martha) Adams of Sugarland, TX; two daughters, Jennifer(Alex) Engel of Mankato, MN, and Tiffany (Jeff) Cox, of Waterloo, IA.; one step-daughter Gabriella Williams of Port Orange, FL; one step-son Ryan Williams of Mason City, IA; 7 grandchildren; his mother, Viola Adams of Jesup; two brothers, Dennis(Judy) Adams of Omaha, NE, and David (Cindee)Adams of Mossyrock, WA; 1 sister Linda (John Friedman) Adams of Des Moines, IA.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Adams.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, May 7, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the American Lutheran Church, Jesup, IA, with Pastor Dawn Pederson presiding. Visitation will be Sunday, May 6, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. at White Funeral Home, Jesup.  Burial will be at Cedar Crest Cemetery, Jesup. 

Memorials will be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice and to the American Lutheran Church, Jesup.
