Jesup – Larry L. Bohling, 73 years old of Jesup, IA, died Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at his home.  He was born April 5, 1939, in Green Ridge, MO, the son of Benjamin Franklin Bohling and Robin Edna (Ward) Bohling.  He graduated from high school in Versailles, MO, with the class of 1957.  Larry was united in marriage to Janice Mae Comfort on April 20, 1958, at the First United Methodist Church, Jesup, IA.  They made their home in Jesup and Larry worked as an over the road truck driver, driving for Jensen Transport in Independence, Gray Transportation and Northland Oil, both in Waterloo.  He retired in 1998.  He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Mr. Bohling is survived by his wife, Janice of Jesup; one son James (Shyann) Bohling of Jesup; three grandchildren, Devin (Becky) Bohling, Megan Bohling and Mason Bohling; also two brothers, Bob Bohling of Belton, MO, Stanley (Imelda) Bohling of Jesup; and one sister, Helen (John R.) Lyle of Port Saint Lucie, FL.  His parents; two brothers, Ward Bohling and James W. “J.W.” Bohling; and one sister, Merle Klein; preceded him in death.

Funeral Services will be 1:30 p.m. – Saturday, April 14, 2012, at the First United Methodist Church, Jesup, with Rev. Lynn C. Gardner officiating.  Burial will be at Cedar Crest Cemetery, Jesup.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday, at the First United Methodist Church, Jesup and for an hour before services Saturday.  Memorials may be directed to the church or family.
