DUNKERTON - Thomas Joseph Brown, 82, of Dunkerton IA, died unexpectedly on Friday, June 13, 2025, at UnityPoint Health Allen Hospital in Waterloo, IA.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. – Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at St. Francis Catholic Church - Barclay, rural Dunkerton, IA, with burial in the church cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by Peter Kress American Legion Post #636 of Dunkerton.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 17th at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA, where there will be a parish rosary at 3:30 p.m. and vigil service at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue for an hour before services Wednesday at the Church. Thomas was born October 5, 1942, in Independence, IA, the son of Florence D. "FD" and Hazel D. (Anderson) Brown.

He is survived by his children; Janeen (Dan) Williams of Mead, CO, James (Michelle) Brown of Dunkerton, IA, Jason Brown of Mankato, MN, Melissa (Jason) Pates of Waverly, IA, Daughter-in-law Kristie Brown of Dunkerton, IA and Special friend Marilyn Steggall of Fairbank, IA; 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 5 brothers; Bernie (Doris) Brown of Dunkerton, IA, Mike Brown of Cedar Falls, IA, Steve Brown (Mary Weber) of Fairbank, IA, Paul (Cindy) Brown of Independence, IA, Dennis (Janet) Brown of Newhall, IA, a sister Patricia Brown of Cedar Rapids, IA and many nieces and nephews.

Thomas is preceded in death by his parents FD and Hazel Brown, his wife Cheryl Brown; three sisters: Barbara Forkner, Bernadine Wilkinson, Mary Rigdon, two brothers; Robert Brown and John Brown.
