INDEPENDENCE – Glenn Everett Stark, 91 years old of Waterloo, IA, and formerly of Hudson, IA, died Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Friendship Village, Wellsprings Unit in Waterloo.

Family Graveside services will be Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Black Hawk Township Cemetery, Hudson, IA.

Glenn was born July 2, 1933, in Waterloo, IA, the son of Russell J. Stark and Genevieve Grace “Ted” (Gibson) Stark. He graduated from Hudson High School and then attended the University of Iowa where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in education. Glenn was a schoolteacher for many years before retirement. He was affiliated with the Community Church of Hudson. Glenn loved day trips to places of interest in Iowa. He lived for his daily trips from the farm to Starbucks in Waterloo.

Glenn is survived by one sister, JoAnn Kerkove of Jesup, IA, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Rev. Russell Stark and Dennis Stark; and one sister, Alyce Francis.
