JESUP - Keith Eugene Everett, 85 years old, of Jesup, IA, formerly of West Hills, CA, and Waterloo, IA, died Friday, September 6, 2024, at his home in Jesup.

Burial will be at the Lima Cemetery in rural Fayette County at a later date.

Keith was born June 19, 1939, in rural Fayette County, Iowa, the son of Arnold Ray Everett and Melba Emma (Jarchow) Everett. He graduated from high school in Wadena, IA. Keith served his country with the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Following his time in the Navy he worked in California for over 30 years as a machinist for Custom Control Sensors and lived in West Hills, CA. He retired in 1995 and moved back to Iowa to be closer to family.

Keith is survived by one sister, Linda (Robert “Bob”) Stanley of Grinnell, IA; and his caretaker, Phillena Everett of Jesup, IA; and her family, Greg (Ashley) Everett of Clarksville, IA, John (Nikki) Everett of Jesup, IA, Jacob (Erica) Moran of Independence, IA, and Alexis Everett of Jesup, IA.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gary Everett, and another in infancy; two sisters, Carol Everett and Kay Everett; his uncle Albert Everett; and his cousin, Jim Everett.
