JESUP - Rosalyn Jean Uchytil, 88 years old of Jesup, IA, died Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at ABCM Rehabilitation Center in Independence, IA.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. – Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at White Funeral Home, Jesup with Fr. Benjamin J. Nkrumah officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.

Rosalyn was born July 18, 1935, in Jesup, the daughter of Gilbert H. Schmidt and Lola F. (Masters) Schmidt. She graduated from Jesup High School with the class of 1953. On February 18, 1956, she was united in marriage to George William Uchytil at St. Athanasius Catholic Church in Jesup. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church.

Rosalyn is survived by her husband, George of Jesup; two sons, David Uchytil and Douglas Uchytil both of Jesup; one sister, Cheryl (Gilbert) Marsh of Jesup; four granddaughters, Kaleigh (Tanner) Bonorden, Brooke Uchytil, Taylor (Dilyn) McDermott, Allie Uchytil (Lane Rose), two grandsons, Jason Uchytil and Jamie (Becky) Uchytil; 9 great grandchildren, Beau, Haydenn, Kolter, Kayden, Hudson, Kylee, Carson, Chloe and Braxton.

She was preceded in death by one son, Dennis Uchytil (September 17, 2013) and her parents.
