Lisbon – Sharon A. Lentzkow, 85 years old, of Lisbon, Iowa, formerly of Independence, Iowa, died on Friday, October 1, 2021, at the Rehab. Center of Lisbon in Lisbon surrounded by her family. She was born on November 2, 1935, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of Archie Benjamin and Edith Marie (Mussehl) Cragg. She graduated from high school in Dubuque, Iowa, with the Class of 1953. On April 16, 1955, she and Ronald Eugene Lentzkow were married in Dubuque. He preceded her in death in 2018. Mrs. Lentzkow was a home maker and care giver in Independence. She was formerly a member of Ladies Musical and the Immanuel Lutheran Church Choir. She loved and enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren and family. She also enjoyed reading, movies, and chocolate.
Mrs. Lentzkow is survived by 2 sons, Steven (Linda) Lentzkow of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Mark (Sarah Glover) Lentzkow of Peoria, Illinois, 2 daughters, Linda (Russell) Kiefer of Oxford Junction, Iowa, and Ellen (Terry) Bloomquist of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, 7 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 7, 2021, at St. James Episcopal Church in Independence with Rev. Sue Ann Raymond officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Independence.
