Waterloo – Robin Ranea Clayton, 51 years old of Waterloo, IA, and formerly of Jesup, IA, died Saturday, April 24, 2021, at MercyOne-Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 10:30 a.m. – Monday, May 3, 2021, at Heartland Vineyard Church in Waterloo.

Visitation with the family will be from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Sunday, May 2, 2021, at the White Funeral Home, Jesup.  Memorials may be directed to the family.

Face coverings and social distancing is expected.

Robin was born October 1, 1969 in Waterloo, the daughter of Thomas Edward Christensen and Valetta Kaye (Chaney) Christensen.  She graduated from Jesup High School with the class of 1988.  On September 28, 1991, she was united in marriage to Robert James Clayton, II, in Jesup, IA.  The couple later divorced.  Robin worked as a custodian and para-professional at Jesup Community Schools and most recently was employed at St. Athanasius Catholic School in Jesup.  She was a member of Heartland Vineyard Church in Waterloo.

Robin is survived by one daughter, Tessa Clayton of Independence, IA; one son, Travis Clayton of Independence; one granddaughter, Mikah Nemmers-Clayton; one brother, Rick (Dale Ann) Christensen of Waterloo; her step-mother, Joyce Christensen of Independence; four step-sisters, Debbie Stoneman of Brandon, IA, Teresa (Dean) Briggs of Independence, Cathy Close of Independence; Sara (Bill) Castic of Waterloo; and her boyfriend, Ted Kapler of Waterloo.

Her father; mother; and one sister, Ronda Christensen, preceded her in death.

White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA, is in charge of the arrangements.
