Oelwein – Mark D. Makepeace, 56 years old, of Oelwein, Iowa, died on Sunday, April 18, 2021, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.  He was born on May 17, 1964, in Portland, Oregon, the son of Leonard Banford and Beverly June (Carel) Makepeace.  He attended school in Vancouver, Washington.  Mr. Makepeace was a painter until he was disabled.  He enjoyed fishing in the northwest for salmon, sturgeon, and halibut.  He also played darts.

Mr. Makepeace is survived by 2 daughters, Carlee (Chris) Burton of Vancouver, WA, and Trish (Nathan) Watson of Phoenix, AZ, 1 son, Jarrod Evans of Vancouver, Washington, 6 grandchildren, his mother, Beverly Makepeace of Independence, IA, and 2 brothers, Jeff (Sherrell) Makepeace of Waterbury, CT, and Brian Makepeace of Oelwein, IA.

He was preceded in death by his father and 1 brother, Craig Makepeace.
